How the calculation works
Divides the year into four 3-month quarters. Fiscal quarters shift based on the fiscal year start month.
Example: May 15 is Q2 (calendar) or Q2 (April fiscal year).
How date calculations work
Calendar math is trickier than it seems. Months have 28–31 days, leap years add an extra day every four years (except century years not divisible by 400), and time zones complicate exact hour counts.
